Personal information collected

We may collect personal information that can identify you, such as your name and email address, and other information that does not identify you.
Stakeholder database: We keep the contact information of the stakeholders who we meet during events, networking activities:

  • Inventory data (Name, address)
  • Contact data (Email, phone number)
  • Usage data (visited websites, access)
  • Meta-/Communication data (browser details, IP addresses)

This information is securely stored on specially protected servers. These servers can be accessed only by a limited number of carefully selected persons of our consortium who are subject to strict confidentiality requirements. It isn’t used outside the framework of the project nor transmitted to 3rd parties without prior consent of the person.

Newsletter subscription: We use a third party service (Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.) (see privacy policy: MailChimp).

The service provider may use the data of the recipients in pseudonymous form, i.e. without assignment to a user, to optimize or improve their own services, e.g. for the technical optimization and the presentation of newsletters or for statistical purposes. However, the service provider does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to address them themselves or to pass the data on to third parties.

The subscribers can unsubscribe/opt out at any time and the information will be deleted (link).
 

Cookies policy

This website uses cookies to facilitate navigation and provide a more personalized and responsive service. Cookies are small (text) files which are saved on the user computer and stored. Most cookies are what is known as “session cookies” which can be deleted after the end of the visit. In individual cases, cookies do provide information in order to automatically recognise the user again.   • the IP address of the user (anonymized),
  • the querying Provider

To receive statistics, we are relying on Slimstat Analytics. Slimstat is fully compliant with the European GDPR guidelines. Slimstat don’t treat their users as the product that they sell to other companies. Slimstat anonymize all the IP addresses that it collects and stores in the database. It honours the Do Not Track header and uses an Opt-out option via text box displayed.
 

Integration of the services and content of third parties

This Internet access integrates the content of third-party providers. For example, they can be Youtube videos or graphics from other websites. In such a case, the third-party Provider makes use of your IP address in order to allow the presentation of this content.
 

Social Media

We use social media to present our work through widely used and contemporary channels.
Our official social media channels are listed on this website: Twitter and Facebook. Each social media channel has their own policy on the way they process your personal data when you access their sites. For example, if you choose to watch one of our videos on YouTube, you will be asked for explicit consent to accept YouTube cookies; if you look at our Twitter activity on Twitter, you will be asked for explicit consent to accept Twitter cookies; the same applies for Facebook.
